Who we are

Our chapter covers Surveyors From Mecklenburg, Union, and Cabarrus Counties, but there is no Geographic limit to membership.

Mecklenburg Surveyors Association is a Non Profit 501(c) with the goal of providing continuing education to surveyors, and help spread the virtues of the surveying profession to the younger generations.

We meet every first Tuesday of the month from January through May, and have our annual barbecue the second Tuesday in June. We take a break from July through August and restart meetings September through November. In December we usually host a 3-4 hour storm water seminar with the city of Charlotte.

The chapter usually provides 7-11 PDH’s from attending meetings.

We also try to provide outreach to high school students via career fairs and Boy Scouts Surveying Merit Badges.

Our meetings foster strong relationships between surveyors and anyone that wishes to attend meetings. We cover various triumphs and tribulation of the profession, with a very open platform.

We invite anyone to speak at our meetings if they feel they have some insight or knowledge on a topic related to surveying. Topics range from new technology, ethics, board decisions, data management, new laws, ext. Basically most non sales topics are welcome.

At the very least we provide a regular place to get diner around other surveyors that understand what we do.

Our chapter is proud to provide scholarship opportunities to students currently pursuing a degree in Land Surveying.
